Doggie Dash in Davis a Big Success for K-9 Officers

Doggie Dash in Davis a Big Success for K-9 Officers

The Chester Foundation was pleased to participate in the September 7th Labor Day Races and Doggie Dash.  The Golden Valley Harriers organized this event to benefit the U.C. Davis Faithful Partner Fund that serves injured K-9 officers. With the help of generous sponsors, the Chester Foundation sponsored the Kids Fun Run.

The event led off with a 5K doggy dash, where canines and their humans ran through the streets of Davis.  Hundreds of runners participated in the 5K and 10K courses, as Taiko drummers stepped up their beat at the finish line.  Canines and their humans alike had a great time for an important cause.

Many thanks to volunteers Cadden, Karmi and Matthew Ferguson, and Madison and Betsy Mahan who staffed the Chester Foundation information table.
