Meet Lucy

Lucy was transferred to the emergency hospital for future medical care following an inadvertent toxicity resulting from the application of flea product labeled for dogs.  Permethrin toxicity (Lucy’s condition) is a common clinical presentation for cats and unfortunately can produce a life-threatening situation for cats – causes marked muscle tremoring (seizure like) reactions.  Lucy’s owner had ran out of funds to provide for continued care and Chester Foundation provide funds to cover the remaining cost for care – given a good prognosis for recovery with treatment.  Lucy did indeed respond to the treatment and had a smooth recovery.
